apibrėžtis Klasikinės vyrų slidinėjimo varžybos, kurias sudaro šuoliai su slidėmis nuo 70 m galingumo tramplyno ir 15 km slidinėjimo lenktynės. Trunka 2 dienas. Per varžybas tramplyno galingumas ir lenktynių nuotolis nustatomas kiekvienos amžiaus grupės dalyviams. Rezultatas – taškų suma, skiriama už sugaištą laiką lenktynėse, taip pat šuolių nuo tramplyno grožį ir ilgį. Pirmosios šiaurės dvikovės varžybos įvyko Norvegijoje 1862 m. Pasaulio čempionatai rengiami nuo 1924 m. Į žiemos olimpinių žaidynių programą įtraukta nuo 1924 m.
